Rain to Start the Week

Good morning,

Rain is back in the forecast after over a month.

The funky weather does not stop with the lack of rain. This low pressure system is going to move from north to south, east to west, and south to north....

The low is dropping down from the north right now, over Nevada.  As it reaches the central coast, it will take a right hand turn towards the coast this afternoon.

It will then, move south into northern Baja, make a U-turn and come back north.

Besides the funky movement, it is going to be much colder then yesterday. Today in the valleys will be 10 to 25 degrees cooler then Sunday.

Coastal areas 5 to 10 degrees cooler.

As far as rain goes, when will it start and how much...Totals should be 1/4 to 1/2 inch over the next few days for us.

The harder part is when will it come? This is going to become a cut off low. As Kirk Gym rat friend say, yes they are hard to know where they will drift and when.

For us, tonight we might see a little rain, then Tuesday afternoon looks to be wetter as this drifts back north.

To be safe, the weather service is keeping rain in the forecast through Wednesday. At this point, it looks like it should be just the first two days.

Extended forecast Thursday through the weekend. It looks like a warm up, no rain and 70s.

Ok running late today.

Have a great day!
