Good Tuesday Morning

Good morning,

It looks like the system once thought to cause rain Wednesday night into Thursday is slowing down a bit. We will still have some rain, but it looks like Thursday afternoon is the more likely time period.

This storm system is coming out of the Gulf of Alaska and will be dropping south on Wednesday.

The rain totals will be 1/4 to 3/4 on the central coast, starting Thursday morning – afternoon.

In Santa Barbara looks like we will get about a 1/4 of an inch of rain,

Ventura and south 1/10 to 1/4 of an inch.

Not a barn burner, but we can turn off sprinklers for a day. Besides it will be nice to see the rain.

Tuesday and Wednesday look to be fair and dry. Highs in the low 70s.

Saturday and Sunday appear to be the same. Dry with 70s.

Monday on the forecast is very questionable, so we will not even talk about this.

On a side note:

I was asked about the slow start to the rainy season yesterday. With a comment I bet this is going to be another dry season.

I do not feel that way, no rain in November will not have any indication of the amount of rain we will receive for this upcoming season. If you look at past years, we have had wet starts and no rain in January and February. Really, we do not get much in rainfall totals in November or even December. January and February are the big months. The predictions are still for a season of normal rainfall. I Just want to let everyone know, rain early on does not mean heavy rainy season. In fact, history of last has shown the opposite.

Besides we are happy is the construction industry to see rain hold off. We are all too busy to be battling rain delays now..

Have a good work week. It’s back to work for all. Teachers , bankers, government workers.
