Wednesday Forecast…..Rain is on the Horizon

Good morning,

We are getting closer to some spring showers. The forecast is now more definite on the rain event starting Friday and Saturday.

I have decided that Kamela needs to have more events at her house in drought years, because the only time it rains is when she has an outdoor event.

So, let’s start with current. Then we will talk about the rain.

Today and Thursday is easy....looks like night and morning fog and clouds, then sunshine in the afternoons. Highs in the upper 60s.

Friday the change begins...

Now it looks like SLO, Santa Ynez, and Santa Barbara can all see rain on Friday during the day, starting late morning. The rain to start will be on the light side, with no more then 1/4 of an inch.

Ventura and south should stay dry.

Friday night and Saturday, it will be raining. This will be a lighter rain with accumulation of 1/3 to 2/3 of an inch over Santa Ynez and SB. Areas north will see upwards to an inch or so.

Ventura and south will get 1/4 to 1/2 an inch.

Rain will end by late Saturday afternoon.

Looks like dry weather returns through Tuesday, then a weak system may affect SLO and to the north.

That’s the scoop for now...

Spring showers are on the way.
