Good Friday morning,

It is funny, I am watching the news in the background, and it is crazy cold and snowy around the country. I am glad I do not live there.

For us it is the Last day of the work week will be a busy day at Action. As everyone is aware by now, we have rain on the way.

Today, lots of clouds, but no rain until tonight. The low-pressure system is 650 miles west of San Francisco right now https://zoom.earth/

This will move over us throughout the day and rain will begin on the central coast late in the afternoon and arrive north to south late tonight into Saturday.

Rain will really come in a few waves, but for the most part we will see good rainfall totals through Monday.

Tonight through Sunday evening it will rain, but on and off. All in all over the 2-day period Friday night to Sunday evening .75 to 1.5 inches is expected coastal.

Less in LA, more on south facing mountains where 2 to 4 are possible.

Sunday night the second wave will arrive. This will start Sunday night and last through Monday night and will bring another .75 to 2 inches of rain.

All in all, over the entire storm system through Monday night we can see 1 to 2 inches coastal. 2 to 4 inches in the foothills and 4 to 6 inches in SLO and south facing mountains.

South flow will give higher rain totals to the Santa Barbara area. We will see how much falls, but 2 plus inches is likely.

Snow levels will remain around 6500 feet and snow accumulation of 8 to 16 inches. After that clearing Tuesday through the rest of the week.

Enjoy the first wet weekend of 2024.
