Back to Work Tuesday

Good morning,

What an exciting few days for weather people... and news casters.....

Sunday and even Monday was pretty incredible. I went downtown to my office and drove through the areas hit the hardest. Trees were up rooted, many large limbs were down. All the streets were covered with leaves and debris.

For all that did not know what a micro burst was, including myself... it was exciting ....The easiest way to explain it is... you know how thunderstorms collect heating in the air as it rises. That is why the clouds build and puff up in the afternoons. Well a micro burst is when the clouds fill so much that they cannot hold anymore and it just comes out with a fury. With high wind and rain coming straight down. These clouds were 3000 feet tall in the SB area, before they released the craziness.

Well that's all behind us now. It is back to work, and normal skies are clear, with the exception of fog and low clouds.

Weather for this week is going to be bland. Nothing exciting. Temps will be above normal a few degrees. Highs in the 80s and some 90s inland. We will see fog and low clouds each day along the coast

Hope everyone enjoyed the show. It was like the pilot to a new series. It supposed to tune you back in. Well I guess this is the pilot to the rainy season.... stay tuned.

Summer is over and more excitement is to come....

Thank you! The new downspouts have completely stopped the drumming of drips when it rains!
